Villarreal had a magnificent season behind them, finishing 3rd, which is their best placement since the 2007/08 season when they finished 2nd. However, the Yellow Submarine failed to continue in the same manner, which many attribute to coach Marcelino leaving. Their first wins of the season came just before the international break, and when the break was over, they lost 1:0 to Real Madrid. While that wasn't a bad loss, maybe that international break broke a potentially good run. Right now, after the first eight rounds in La Liga, they sit in a disappointing 11th place with only eight points. 

The only injured player on the team should be Tajon Buchanan, who missed the previous game against Real Madrid. According to the club website, the player returned with a minor injury from the international break and should miss at least two or three games. 

Napoli were great under coach Antonio Conte as they won the title and then finished 2nd in the second year. However, after he left and Massimiliano Allegri arrived, they haven't been at the expected level. After six rounds, they have 10 points and sit in 8th place. Still, they seem to have gained momentum lately, having won seven points in their last three games, and they have plenty of reason to be optimistic. 

After a 3:0 win in the previous game against Frosinone, coach Alegri spoke to the media. He said it was a good approach and that they were very aggressive. However, he pointed out that they allowed a lot of shots from outside the penalty area, which is something they need to work on. "This must be the norm; we must not get carried away," the coach added.
