Sporting Charleroi come into Friday's Pro League encounter looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3:1 defeat against Belgian champions USG last weekend. Despite a spirited first-half display that saw them deadlocked at 1:1, the hosts asserted their authority to claim the points at Stade Joseph Marien.

After a promising start to the season, which saw them win three and lose just one of their first seven league fixtures, Rik De Mil's men have gone off the boil. Sporting suffered defeats in each of their last four fixtures.

The home side have struggled in recent meetings against Anderlecht, slipping to defeat in four of their last five encounters. Considering their form in the past month, something similar could be on the cars this week. 

Head coach De Mil is able to call on a near-fully fit squad for Friday's Pro League contest. Massamba Sow remains the only injury absentee for the home side. 

Anderlecht make the trip to Stade du Pays de Charleroi now unbeaten in six matches after an entertaining 2:2 draw against Sint-Truidense VV last weekend. Despite taking the lead twice, Besnik Hasi's side were forced to settle for a point at Stayen.

While the visitors have proven tough-to-beat in recent weeks, Anderlecht have struggled to turn draws into victories. Four of their last six games finished deadlocked. 

On the road, the Purple & White have lost just one of five away league games this season, and with a decent record in this fixture, will be confident of picking up a third win on their travels.

A potentially tight contest could see fewer than three goals scored. Under 2.5 goals were scored in all but one of Anderlecht's 11 matches and in four of the last six meetings between these sides.

Head coach Hasi has no reported injury issues this weekend. Adriano Bertaccini could earn a recall after a 45-minute second-half appearance against Sint-Truidense VV last weekend.
