Norway return to Ullevaal after an impressive World Cup campaign ended with a 2:1 extra-time defeat against England in the quarter-finals.

Andreas Schjelderup gave Stale Solbakken's side the lead, but Jude Bellingham’s brace ended Norwegian participation in the Americas.  

The Lions had reached the last eight after claiming a superb 2:1 victory against Brazil in the round of sixteen. Haaland scored twice as Norway knocked out one of the tournament favourites.

High-scoring encounters have been frequent. Norway's final four World Cup matches all finished with at least three goals. Solbakken's men beat Senegal 3:2 before a 4:1 defeat against France, followed by their high-scoring knockout ties against Brazil and England.

Head coach Solbakken has a 25-man squad available. Ole Didrik Blomberg is one of three uncapped players included in the selection. 

Captain Martin Odegaard should return to the midfield, while Haaland, Antonio Nusa and Oscar Bobb are expected to feature in the hosts attack.

Denmark make the short journey to Oslo for their first competitive appearance in almost six months.

Brian Riemer's side missed out on the World Cup after losing a dramatic playoff against the Czech Republic in March. A back and forth contest finished 2:2 after extra time before Denmark suffered a painful 3:1 penalty shootout defeat.

That disappointment came only five days after an emphatic 4:0 victory against North Macedonia in the playoff semifinals.  

Since then, the Danes were held to a goalless draw against DR Congo before their friendly with Ukraine was abandoned with the Ukrainians 2:1 in front. 

Like Norway, high-scoring outcomes have been frequent for Denmark. Eleven of their last 13 games finished with at least three goals scored.

Danish boss Riemer selected a 24-man squad for the Danes four Nations League fixtures. Thomas Jørgensen is one of three uncapped players to make the selection. 

Andreas Christensen is expected to miss Thursday's contest after suffering a quadriceps injury while playing for Barcelona.

Rasmus Hojlund should lead the attack in Oslo.
