There are only three teams left that secured wins in the first two games, and now two of them, Liverpool and Arsenal, are about to collide in a blockbuster derby. While it is still early, these two teams are the primary candidates for the title, and points in these h2h matchups are often worth far more than just the three on the table.

In the previous season, these teams met twice, finishing with the same result - 2:2. Looking further back, in the last ten h2h games, we saw four wins for the Reds and just two for the Gunners.
When it comes to the number of goals, we mostly saw interesting high-scoring matches as they went over 2.5 goals in six games, while both teams scored on seven occasions.
Liverpool team overview
Last year, Liverpool managed to secure the title in their first season under Arne Slot. Something Jurgen Klopp did just once in nine seasons as a Reds head coach. Over the Summer, the club made significant changes, and on paper, they look better. While that was definitely the case offensively, we were not really impressed by them defensively. That was something they had problems with in friendlies, too, and something they will have to fix as soon as possible.
After the latest 3:2 win over Newcastle, coach Arne Slot spoke to the media. He praised his team's mental resilience, especially in the hostile environment at St. James' Park. The coach said the game was chaotic and set-piece-heavy but praised the team for a win in such a match.

Arsenal team overview
For the third year in a row, Arsenal finished second in the Premier League. While it is impossible to tell whether they will finally stop that bad trend and win the title, we believe this is the best team they have had in a long time, and are definitely capable of winning it all.
The Gunners opened the season with a 1:0 win over Manchester United and a massive 5:0 win over Leeds. Unfortunately, three of their crucial players received injuries and will miss the upcoming game(s) - Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka. Besides them, the players who missed the first games due to injuries will remain sidelined as well (Christian Norgaard and Gabriel Jesus).

Prediction
Liverpool looked absolutely amazing offensively, scoring seven goals in the first two games, and we believe there isn't a team that can stop their offense. However, allowing two goals against a ten-man Newcastle and two goals against Bournemouth at home is definitely a reason for concern. If we include this, the last season and the pre-season, we saw both teams scoring in 13 consecutive games across the competitions.
Arsenal were great offensively in the first two games vs MU and Leeds, winning both and scoring six goals. Yes, they kept a clean sheet in those matches, which is not ideal for our bet, but we do not think they can do that against Liverpool because we weren't really impressed with them in the MU game. The Red Devils had 61% ball possession and a 1.52 xG and undoubtedly deserved to score.
Also, both teams scored in the last four h2h games. Considering all the above, we expect another exciting game with both teams scoring at least once.
4 Reasons why both teams should score
- Liverpool scored seven goals in the first two games
- Both teams scored in the last of 13 Liverpool matches
- Arsenal scored six goals in the first two games
- Both teams scored in the last four h2h matches
