Lille vs PAOK prediction 23.10.2025 | Europa League

In the previous three seasons, Lille have been the fourth or fifth-best team in France. Last year, they were only one point away from securing third place and the Champions League. This year, at least in the Ligue 1, the popular Mastiffs are floating around their usual spots. Right now, they are in 6th place with 14 points from eight rounds, only two points away from the Champions League and four away from the top spot. In the EL, the Mastiffs are one of the only seven teams that won both games. 

After a 2:0 over Nantes in the previous match, coach Bruno Génésio spoke to the media. He was very satisfied with the team's performance, saying they controlled the game and created many chances. The coach added that it is important to get back to winning ways and that this win should help them regain momentum in the standings.

After winning the Greek title in 2023/24, PAOK didn't have a great last season, finishing third but not even close to the eventual champs, Olympiacos, as they left them 17 points behind. This year, the Thessaloniki team did great in the domestic league as they are sitting in the top spot with 17 points in the first seven rounds. In the last two rounds, they managed to win against Olympiacos and AEK, their main contenders for the title. 

However, their performances in the EL and even in the EL Qualifiers haven't been at a desired level, and they will look to change that with a good performance against a pretty strong Lille team.

After a 2:0 over AEK Athens FC, coach Razvan Lucescu spoke to the media. He was very happy with a win, saying they managed to win two consecutive derbies (vs AEK and Olympiacos). However, he said it was not a surprise for him because he knew what they were capable.
