Lazio vs Cagliari prediction 03.11.2025 | Serie A

Lazio have been in decline since finishing second in the 2023-24 Serie A campaign under Maurizio Sarri's management.

The Eagles finished seventh in each of the last two campaigns, and things appear to be getting worse, even with Sarri's return to the club as they team currently sits inside the bottom half of the standings.

However, Lazio have been hard to beat recently, avoiding defeat in each of their last five matches — a run that has seen them keep four clean sheets and register two wins.

One of those wins was at the Stadio Olimpico against Juventus, so Sarri will be feeling confident about his side's chances of comfortably beating Cagliari on Monday.

Injuries have certainly played their part in the team's poor start to the campaign, with seven players currently sidelined. This includes Nuno Tavares, Elseid Hysaj, Nicolò Rovella, Samuel Gigot and Matteo Cancellieri.

Cagliari started the 2025-26 Serie A campaign well, losing just one of their opening four matches. They drew with Fiorentina and beat Parma and Lecce, but have not won a league game since.

The Islanders are currently without a win in their last five league games, a run that has seen them suffer defeats at the hands of Inter, Bologna and Sassuolo, while drawing with Udinese and Hellas Verona.

Despite this poor run of form, Cagliari fans can take heart from the fact that their team has lost only one of their four away games this season.

Like their hosts, Cagliari have a long injury list, with at least five players, including Andrea Belotti, Nicola Pintus and Alessandro Deiola, ruled out of Monday’s game.
