Jeju are an average team in the South Korean league in previous years. In the 2026 season, they are a mid-table team that still could play in the Championship group. Recently, Jeju have played well with seven consecutive games without defeat. In the most recent outing, Sergio Costa's team played 3-3 at home against Incheon. The teams were pretty even for most of the match, and splitting points was probably the fairest outcome. Now, with only 48 hours of rest, Jeju will welcome one of the best European teams. 

Jeju's biggest strength in recent weeks is their offense. They scored 11 goals in the last five matches. On the other hand, Jeju have big problems in defense, and that is the major reason why they are not higher in the standings. Sergio Costa's team has conceded at least one goal in nine of the previous ten games. 

With not much time for rest, we could expect Jeju's head coach Sergio Costa to rotate the squad for the friendly game against Bayern Munich. Most of the team will probably want to play against the German side, but only four days later Jeju will have a game against Jeonbuk in Jeonju, and the staff will surely see that as the priority. 

After winning the 13th Bundesliga title in the last 14 years, Bayern Munich are preparing for another season. The ambitions remain the same. In the domestic competitions, they are favorites to win everything, while in the Champions League, Vincent Kompany would like more than last season's semifinal. 

Bayern Munich opened the preseason with a 2-1 defeat to Wehen. A few days later, they returned to the right track with a 15-0 victory against their regular opponent over the summer, Rottach-Egern. Bayern will have a couple of games in Asia before they return to Germany for the start of the 2026/27 season. 

Most of the important players from last season remained in Bayern. The only important departures are Leon Goretzka, Nicolas Jackson, and Raphael Guerreiro. On the other hand, the Bavarian club signed two important players, Ismael Saibari (from PSV) and Nathaniel Brown (Eintracht Frankfurt). Surely, we should expect more moves from Bayern until the end of August.
