Gil Vicente come into Friday's Primeira Liga fixture after a goalless draw against Famalicão last weekend. 

A mixed start to the season has seen Cesar Peixoto´s men pick-up four points from their first three league games of the season. A poor run of form since the end of last season has seen the hosts fail to win eight of their last nine matches, including five of six previous Primeira Liga fixtures. 

Low-scoring outcomes can usually be expected when Gil Vicente are in action. Los Gallos have seen under 2.5 goals in eight of their last ten matches.

Head coach Peixoto has no reported injury issues this week. Agustín Moreira and Murilo Souza could come into contention should the hosts look to freshen their selection.

Moreirenese come into Friday's fixture having made a brilliant start to the season, securing three successive Primeira Liga victories in the past month. Vasco Costa´s side secured a 2:1 win against Alverca, before a 1:0 road victory at Santa Clara. Moreirenese then claimed a 2:0 victory against Vitoria in their most recent runout. 

An impressive run of form has seen Moreirense pick up six successive victories (including three pre-season wins), while they have lost only one of their last seven league games since the end of last season. 

The in-form visitors also claimed victory on their last visit to the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos last season.  

Head coach Costa is likely to retain faith in the bulk of the same side that eased past Vitoria. Afonso Assis could earn a recall after making a 45-minute substitute appearance last weekend.
