FCSB vs Bologna prediction 23.10.2025 | Europa League

FCSB, a 28-time Romanian champion, managed to win back-to-back titles. Last season, they did really well, winning the title pretty dominantly. However, this season has been a disaster, at least by their standards, as they sit in 12th place after the first 13 rounds. In Europe, they started the competition from the Champions League Qualifiers 1st round. They had mixed results there, but three points in the first two rounds in the main phase are pretty solid. Last year, they managed to come out of the league phase and will look to do that again. However, looking at their schedule, that will not be an easy task, and every single point is important. 

After a 2:1 loss vs Metaloglobus Bucharest, coach Elias Charalambous spoke to the media. He was unhappy with the loss and said he was puzzled by the second-half collapse. The coach admitted he is trying to find the reason for the defeat and noted he is certain they can turn things around and start winning points. 

Bologna have been pretty good in the previous seasons. They had a five-place finish in the 2023/24 season and secured the Champions League, and then, last year, they managed to win the Coppa Italia - their first major title since the 1998/99 season when they won the Intertoto Cup. 

This year, I Rossoblù had a decent start in Serie A, winning 13 points in the first seven rounds and sitting in 5th place - only three points away from the top spot. However, in the Europa League, they desperately need points as they have won only one in the first two games. 

After a 2:0 win over Cagliari in the previous game, coach Vincenzo Italiano spoke to the media. He was happy with a win, saying they are getting better and better. The coach said they had problems due to scheduling early in the season, but are steadily improving and expect them to get even better.
