European action takes place in Ehschede on Thursday evening as FC Twente take on Ferencvaros.
The hosts come into this second-round first-leg contest looking to make home advantage count before next week’s return fixture in Budapest.
Ferencvaros already have competitive minutes in their legs after easing past Vojvodina in the previous round.
With both sides carrying attacking quality, an intriguing encounter is expected at De Grolsch Veste.
Twente team overview
FC Twente return to competitive action after a mixed pre-season campaign saw them win two, lose one and draw one of four pre-season friendly fixtures.
John van den Brom’s side picked up victories against PAOK of Greece, and Scottish opponents Aberdeen before a 2:2 draw against Gent and a 2:0 defeat against the Belgians in a pair of friendly matches.
The Dutch side finished last season in solid form, winning seven and losing two of their last 11 competitive fixtures. However, they finished the campaign on a low-note, losing 5:1 at PSV on the final day of the season.
The hosts are usually involved in high-scoring matches. Seven of their last nine competitive fixtures finished with at least three goals scored.
Head coach Van den Brom has added five new players to his squad. Ramiz Zerrouki, Wout Weghorst, Aske Adelgaard and Krzysztof Kurowski could make their competitive debuts for Twente this week.

Ferencvaros team overview
Ferencvaros make the trip to the Netherlands after a convincing first-round success against Vojvodina.
Balazs Borbely’s side claimed a 2:1 away victory in Serbia before completing the job with a dominant 3:0 home win in Budapest.
The Hungarians have been in excellent form since the end of last season, losing just one of their last 14 games, while remaining unbeaten in their last nine matches. More recently, Ferencvaros won each of their three games, including a friendly victory against Qarabag.
Ferencvaros also ended last season strongly in Hungary, winning five of their final six matches in all competitions.
The visitors have plenty of European experience to call on this week. Borbely’s men finished 12th in last season’s Europa League, league phase, before falling at the round of sixteen stage.

Prediction
Ferencvaros have a strong recent record in Europe, and given their impressive performance in Serbia last week, they could have a physical advantage against a Twente side facing their first competitive fixture of the season.
With that in mind, I’m backing the visitors to avoid defeat.
Three Reasons Why We Expect Ferencvaros to Win or Draw
- Ferencvaros are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 matches
- Twente failed to win of their last 8 matches
- Ferencvaros are unbeaten in 11 of their last 14 Europa League matches
Main prediction Twente - Ferencvarosi TC
Ferencvarosi TC win or draw (X2)
