Estoril returns to Primiera Liga action for Saturday´s rearranged contest still searching for a first win of the new season. In a dramatic encounter at Tondela last weekend, Rafik Guitane´s stoppage-time goal rescued a 2:2 draw for Ian Cathro´s side.

The hosts now come into their fourth Primeira Liga fixture of the new campaign with two points on the board after a 1:1 draw against Estrela Amadora on the opening weekend of the season.

High-scoring outcomes have been a regular theme for Estoril this year and at the start of this campaign. All three of their first league fixtures have seen BTTS, while four goals or more were scored in two of those fixtures.

Head coach Cathro has no new injury concerns this weekend. Midfielder Xeka remains the only absentee for the home side.

While a lack of firepower has been an issue for Santa Clara this season, the visitors did record a 4:1 win on their last visit to this venue last season, while they have won three of their five most recent matches against the home side, with a minimum of two goals scored in each victory.

A strong road record proved the foundation for Santa Clara's superb fifth-placed finish in last season´s Primeira Liga. Matos´s men lost only six of 17 away fixtures. 

Head coach Matos could be tempted to make some changes to his first XI on Saturday. Brenner, Adriano Firmino and Anthony Carter are among those who could earn a recall to the starting selection.
