Elversberg vs Hannover prediction 31.10.2025 | 2. Bundesliga

Only a few years ago, Elversberg were playing in the fourth level of German football, and now they are a serious contender for promotion to the Bundesliga. Last season, the team from Waldstadion Kaiserslinde was close to a big success, but they lost in the promotion playoff against Heidenheim. Elversberg collected 22 points in ten 2. Bundesliga rounds in the 2025/26 season, and they are only two points behind the league leader, Schalke. However, it seems that Vincent Wagner's team has been slowing down recently as they have lost the previous two matches. In the previous outing, Elversberg lost 3-0 on the road in the cup against Hertha. Wagner's team suffered a heavy beating in that match and now needs a good result on Friday against Hannover to return to the right track. 

Maximilian Rohr, one of the most important Elversberg players, received his fifth yellow card of the season in the previous league round and will skip the upcoming clash against Hannover. Florian Le Joncour will likely start on Friday night instead of Rohr. 

Besides suspended Rohr, Elversberg will also be without injured Patryk Dragon, Luca Pfeiffer, and Luis Seifert in the upcoming round. 

After six years in 2. Bundesliga, Hannover could return to the strongest domestic competition. They are currently only four points behind the top of the standings, and the next game could be a good opportunity to establish themselves even more as the promotion candidate. Hannover played well recently as they lost only one of their last five matches. In the previous game, Christian Titz's team won 3-0 on the road against Braunschweig. 

Hannover's Boris Tomiak got another yellow card in the previous 2. Bundesliga round and will not play on Friday in Speisen-Elversberg.  Hendry Blank is likely to start instead of him in the upcoming match. 

Hannover will also be without Ime Okon, Benedikt Pichler, and Jonas Sterner in the upcoming clash.
