Two sides sitting inside the relegation meet in a proverbial “six-pointer” on Friday evening with both teams desperate to break their winless runs.

Hosts Boavista return to the Estádio do Bessa Século XXI now winless in 11 matches after a 2:1 defeat at Estoril on Monday. The hosts remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just 12 points, having lost their last six league matches. 

A miserable home record has seen Lito Vidigal´s side fail to win any of ten home fixtures, with only four goals scored and just three draws collected. 

Estrela de Amadora are also in poor form, sitting 16th in the division with 17 points, and have failed to win any of their ten away matches this season.  A 2:1 defeat to Casa Pia last weekend extended their winless streak to six matches while they have scored just three goals in ten road games since August, and only one in their last five.

With both teams lacking confidence and struggling for goals, a low-scoring affair has to be expected on Friday. Boavista have seen under 2.5 goals in five of their last seven home matches, while Estrela de Amadora have seen under 2.5 goals in their last five away games. 

The last meeting between these sides at Estádio do Bessa ended 1:1, and with both teams in such poor form, another low-score draw seems likely.
