Besiktas will be confident of extending their winning run when they take on Gaziantep in the final Super Lig fixture of the weekend.

A superb run of form has seen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s side record victories in each of their last six matches, including a comfortable 2:0 win against Kayserispor last week. 

Since the appointment of Solsjaker to the Besiktas hot seat,  the Kara Kartallar have improved significantly, rising to fourth in the division. Unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 matches since mid-December, Besikas have been particularly impressive in home fixtures. Monday´s hosts won six and drew two of their last eight games at Tüpraş Stadyumu.

Picking up victories in each of their last four games at this venue, Besiktas scored at least two goals in all four victories, including an impressive 4:1 win against Athletic Bilbao at the end of January. 

Gaziantep make the trip to Istanbul having claimed a much-needed 3:1 win against Eyüpspor in their most recent Super Lig fixture. Selçuk İnan´s side had slipped to defeat in five of their six previous fixtures.

On their travels, FK have been particularly poor with defeats suffered in nine of their last 11 road trips and a similar outcome seems likely on Monday.

Besiktas have dominated this fixture in years gone by, claiming victories in each of their last eight meetings at this venue since 2009. Considering both sides' recent form, another home victory has to be expected.
