Atalanta vs Slavia Prague prediction 22.10.2025 | Champions League

Good results from Atalanta are not surprise anymore as they in five of the last seven seasons ended as Serie A top four team. Atalanta changed the head coach this summer, but ambitions remained the same. Ivan Juric's team is the only one unbeaten in the Italian top flight, but five of those seven games ended with draws. In the Champions League, Atalanta collected three points in the first two games, and a win on Wednesday night would be a huge step forward.

Atalanta are unbeaten in the last five matches. In the previous game, they played 0-0 at home against Lazio. The home side ended with xG of 2.19, while the guests had 0.25, but Atalanta's attacking was not even nearly good enough.

After the game against Lazio, Atalanta's head coach, Ivan Juric, commented on his team's problems with efficiency. He said, "I think the team should continue like this. We have ideas and good football, we are just missing the end product, the goals."

Atalanta have almost a full squad for the upcoming clash. Mitchel Bakker, Sead Kolasinac, and Odilon Kossounou are the only ones unavailable for Wednesday.

After three years of finishing second, Slavia Prague last season won their eighth title in the Czech national league and returned to the Champions League. Slavia Prague started the domestic league solidly, as they are only one point behind Sparta Prague. Much bigger problems, Jindrich Trpisovsky's team will have in the Champions League, where they are probably one of the weakest teams, and it would be a serious surprise if they end up in the knockout phase.

Slavia Prague didn't play well lately as they won only two of the last seven matches. In the previous game, Slavia Prague played 0-0 at home against Zlin. Trpisovsky's team had 69% ball possession, but they created only xG of 0.51 and left the pitch frustrated.  

After only a draw against Zlin, Slavia's head coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, was very disappointed. He said, "The first half was tragic, without movement, without runs. We made it easy for the opponent. Then we made substitutions and had a lot of pressure, but we didn't convert our chances. Over time, nervousness appeared, which gradually increased. But our performance was very weak."

Slavia Prague have big problems with missing players. They will be without David Doudera, Dominik Javorcek, Igoh Ogbu, Ivan Schranz, Petr Sevcik, and Lukas Vorlicky. Also, Jindrich Stanek and Tomas Holes are questionable.
