These two teams have only played each other once before, in the AFC Champions League group stage in February this year. Al-Ahli Saudi came from a goal down to win 4:2, with former Premier League players Roberto Firmino, Ivan Toney and Riyad Mahrez all scoring for the Saudi Arabian team.
Al Ahli team overview
Al Ahli have not had the start to the Saudi top flight campaign that they would have liked, having finished fifth last season. The Classy have won only two of their five league games so far with the other three ending in draws.
Their first match after the October international break saw them host Al Shabab on matchday 5. Things got off to a good start with Ivan Toney giving Al Ahli the lead after 15 minutes.
Matthias Jaissle’s side gained a double advantage when Al Shabab were reduced to 10 men in the second half, but failed to capitalise on this and had to settle for a draw after Brownhill scored a late equaliser.
Their form in the AFC Champions League is better, with The Classy currently in second place and yet to lose after two matches. Abdullah Otayf remains on the sidelines with a cruciate ligament injury, but the hosts have no suspensions.

Al-Gharafa team overview
Meanwhile, Al Gharafa had the chance to top the Qatar Stars League table before the international break when they hosted Al Khor.
The Cheetahs failed to take advantage of this opportunity, losing 1-0, and their poor form continued after the break when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Al Sailiya in the Qatari Stars Cup on Friday evening.
In the AFC Champions League, Pedro Martins’s team started with a 4-3 defeat against Sharjah, a game in which they were two goals ahead with just over 30 minutes remaining.
They bounced back with a 2-0 win over Al Shorta, and will be hoping to secure their place in the top eight of Group B with another win on Monday.
Like their hosts, Al Gharafa have no suspensions but Khalifa Ababacar is set to serve the final match of his two-match ban following his red card against Sharjah.

Prediction
Despite being fifth in the Saudi Pro League, Al Ahli remain unbeaten after playing ten games across all competitions this season and have lost only one of their last 14 home games.
That said, Al-Gharafa cannot be underestimated, as they have demonstrated in their two games in the AFC Champions League so far but their current form and record of one win in their last five away matches does not bode well for the visitors. I am expecting an entertaining game which I think Al Ahli could win 2:1.
Three reasons we expect at least three goals in this game
- Three of the last five games of Al Ahli produced four or more goals.
- Al-Gharafa have kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches.
- Al Ahli finished only one of their last five games without conceding.
Main prediction Al Ahli - Al Gharafa
Over 2.5 goals
