AEK Athens return to ALLWYN Arena after beginning their Greek Super League title defence with an emphatic 4:0 victory against Iraklis on Saturday.

Barnabás Varga opened the scoring before Luka Jović struck twice. Zini completed the scoring with AEK’s fourth goal late in the second half.

Marko Nikolić’s men have made a solid start to the season, remaining unbeaten in nine of ten matches completed (including pre-season friendlies).

AEK have also proven difficult to beat in Athens. The Greek champions are unbeaten in their last six home fixtures (in 90 minutes)  winning four and drawing two.

AEK have no confirmed injury absentees ahead of Wednesday’s decisive second leg.

Jović should continue in attack after scoring twice against Iraklis, while Varga is pushing to replace Zini after also finding the net at the weekend.

Lovro Majer, Kaan Kairinen and Aboubakary Koïta are expected to return after being rested for Saturday’s win against Iraklis.

Levski Sofia make the trip to Athens in high spirits after a commanding 6:0 domestic victory against Spartak Varna on Saturday.

Armstrong Oko-Flex scored twice, while Juan Perea, David Kusso, Stivan Stoyanchov and Adrian Raychev were also on target in an emphatic performance.

Julio Velázquez’s side are now unbeaten in 19 matches across all competitions since the end of last season. More recently, the in-form visitorS won six of their previous seven fixtures.

The Bulgarian champions have enjoyed an impressive Champions League qualifying campaign, eliminating Borac Banja Luka, Universitatea Craiova and Kairat Almaty to reach the playoffs.

Levski are unbeaten in all seven of their Champions League qualifiers this season, recording five victories and two draws. They have conceded just three goals and kept five clean sheets in that period. 

The visitors performed well in last week’s first-leg in Sofia, recording more possession and attempts on goal than AEK. However, Velázquez’s men lacked a decisive final pass and failed to turn their territorial advantage into a first-leg lead.

Levski have no confirmed injury concerns ahead of the trip to Athens. Kristian Dimitrov, Nikola Serafimov, El Mehdi Moubarik, Maicon and Everton Bala should return to the first XI after being rested against Spartak Varna.

Oko-Flex is also expected to start after scoring twice in Saturday’s six-goal victory.
