The UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 kicks off on January 21, bringing top-level futsal to Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia. This will be the first time in history that three countries jointly host the tournament. It's also a proud moment for Latvia and Lithuania, who will make their debuts on the biggest futsal stage as host nations. Armenia are making their first time appearance in the finals as well.
Reigning champions Portugal are chasing a third straight European title after winning in 2018 and 2022. In this article, we analyse the betting odds and share our expert views on which team has the best chances to win each group, and who will lift the trophy in Ljubljana.

At the top of the outright market, a familiar rivalry is leading the way. Seven-time champions Spain are going head-to-head with the current title holders, Portugal. The gap then opens slightly to Ukraine, who sit behind the leading duo, in third. Meanwhile, the host nations are priced outside the main group of title favourites despite home support.

| Spain | 2.75 |
| Portugal | 4.00 |
| Ukraine | 7.50 |
| France | 8.00 |

France are clear favourites to finish on top of the group A, priced at 1.72. Croatia are not far behind at 2.75, while Georgia and hosts Latvia are seen as outsiders.
| Team | Odds to win Group A |
| France | 1.72 |
| Croatia | 2.75 |
| Georgia | 8.00 |
| Latvia | 26.00 |
France and Croatia are sitting 6th and 7th in the UEFA futsal rankings, respectively. France won five of six qualifying games, dropping points only in a 3-3 draw against Georgia. Croatia were even more convincing, winning all six of their qualifiers. Their best EURO run came in 2012, finishing fourth as hosts. Looking at the previous results, we back Croatia to top the group. The home crowd could possibly give Latvia extra motivation to not finish last, but we don't see them challenging France or Croatia.
In Group B, Ukraine are expected to win at 1.33. Czechia sit next in the market at 4.00. Armenia are viewed as outsiders, and hosts Lithuania are priced at 51.00.
| Team | Odds to win Group B |
| Ukraine | 1.33 |
| Czechia | 4.00 |
| Armenia | 11.00 |
| Lithuania | 51.00 |
Ukraine deserve to top the group. They have been among the tournament's elite for some time, finishing runners-up twice and placing fourth in 2022 after a loss to Spain. They are ranked 5th and had a strong run during qualification, so their odds make sense. However, Armenia could be the dark horse of this group. They're capable of pushing Czechia for second place. They had an impressive run of results, including a draw and a win against Kazakhstan. Hosts Lithuania are likely to struggle to pick up points.
The most dominant team in the tournament's history, Spain, are the obvious favourites to top the group C at 1.12. Hosts Slovenia are priced next at 9.00, followed by Belarus at 12.00. Belgium sit well behind at 51.00.
| Team | Odds to win Group C |
| Spain | 1.12 |
| Slovenia | 9.00 |
| Belarus | 12.00 |
| Belgium | 51.00 |
This group looks very straightforward. Spain are seven-time champions and finished third in the 2022 edition of the tournament. They had a perfect qualifying campaign, winning every match. There's no doubt they will take first place in the group. Slovenia have never progressed beyond the quarter-finals. However, as hosts for the second time, they should have enough quality to beat Belarus and Belgium to secure the second spot.
In Group D, defending champions Portugal lead the market at 1.40, making them clear favourites to finish top. Italy are next in line at 3.20, while Poland and Hungary are priced at 21.00 and 41.00, respectively.
| Team | Odds to win Group D |
| Portugal | 1.40 |
| Italy | 3.20 |
| Poland | 21.00 |
| Hungary | 41.00 |
Portugal look set to cruise through Group D. The defending champions came through the qualifiers with a perfect record and appear a level above the rest of this group. Italy, despite being two-time winners, showed some vulnerability in qualification. They reached EURO only after beating Kazakhstan on penalties in the play-offs. Still, Italy should have more than enough to beat Poland and Hungary and finish second.
Everything points towards another Spain vs Portugal showdown in the final. There are no signs that any other team can truly challenge these two giants. We expect both teams to come through the group stage unbeaten. Spain remain hugely dangerous with their tournament pedigree, but Portugal have the momentum, confidence, and a well-balanced squad. For us, this feels like Portugal's time to lift the trophy for a third consecutive time.
The UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 features 16 teams, split into four groups of four. Each team plays three matches in the group stage, facing every other team in their group once. The top two teams from each group progress to the knockout phase.
From there, it's a straight single-elimination format. Quarter-final winners move on to the semi-finals, with the victors advancing to the final. A third-place match is also played between the two losing semi-finalists.
