Super 6 round 18 predictions and tips

By Deniss Novickis | Published: December 5, 2025

The Super 6 is returning with six English Premier League matches on Saturday after the midweek games produced plenty of spectacular goals and unexpected results. Have a look at our predictions ahead of round 18.

Deadline: Saturday 6th December, 5:00pm (UK time)

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea

  • Chelsea win 2-1

Chelsea's quality in midfield and attack should give them the edge. Bournemouth might grab a goal through their energetic press, but Chelsea will create more scoring chances. Besides, they have to make amends after the loss away to Leeds on Wednesday.

Manchester City vs. Sunderland

  • Man City celebrate a 3-1 victory

City should control this match from start to finish. Sunderland will likely sit deep, but City's movement, pace, and finishing quality usually break down compact defences. A comfortable home win looks likely. However, the hosts are without a clean sheet in four games, and this streak shouldn't end on Saturday.

Tottenham vs. Brentford

  • Spurs prevail 2-1

Brentford can cause problems with their physicality and set-piece threat, but Tottenham's attacking quality at home should prevail. Spurs' forwards must create enough chances to pull ahead in a competitive match. While Brentford avoiding defeat won't be a huge surprise, we'll go with Thomas Frank and Ko.

Newcastle vs. Burnley

  • A 3-1 win by Newcastle

Newcastle's home form and high-energy pressing make this a tough trip for Burnley. The visitors, in 19th place, may defend well early on, but Newcastle's pressure should eventually produce goals. Yet we don't believe the Magpies will finish with a clean sheet.

Everton vs. Nottingham Forest

  • A 1-1 draw

A tight, evenly matched encounter is highly possible at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Everton will push forward at home, but Forest's counter-attacking ability should earn them a goal. Neither side consistently dominates, so a draw fits the matchup.

Leeds vs. Liverpool

  • Liverpool to win 2-1

Leeds' intensity may help them score, but Liverpool's superior attacking efficiency should be decisive. Liverpool should overcome their troubles at some point, and their frontline creates plenty of high-quality chances to secure an away win.

I’ve been a keen sports fan since childhood, and the World Cup 1994 in the United States is probably the first big competition I remember in detail. Who can forget a five-goal match by Oleg Salenko that didn't mean a thing?! I’ve worked in UEFA for 15 years, so I no longer watch football nowadays. My favourite sports are American football, baseball, darts, and snooker, and I know everything about the UFC.
