Bet of the Day - 28.11.2025

Thanksgiving presented us with three NFL games on Thursday, and the celebrations continue on Friday, as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Chicago Bears at the Lincoln Financial Field.

After four losing seasons in a row, the Chicago Bears are doing an amazing job this year with an 8-3 record. Quarterback Caleb Williams has blossomed under rookie coach Ben Johnson, so the fans of the Bears are dreaming of a first playoff victory since 2011. In the meantime, all of the recent wins against low-level opposition were ugly, and Chicago had no chances in the away battles with strong teams, such as the Detroit Lions and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Super Bowl champions have plenty of similarities with Chicago; they win ugly and, sometimes, lose ugly as well. Just look at their last game, when the Eagles blew a 21-point lead, were scoreless in the second half, and lost to the Dallas Cowboys as a result. Running back Saquon Barkley is a Chinese copy of himself nowadays, with no touchdowns in the last three games.

The Bears are huge underdogs at 3.70, but it looks like they are going to lose here. There's no value in betting on Philadelphia at 1.29. What we can say for sure is that Chicago have one of the worst defences in the league. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles must exploit that, making amends for the embarrassment on Sunday. Yet the hosts have injury problems in the secondary, which is perfect for Williams and Ko. Sounds like an excellent option for betting the over, and the line is 44.0 points only. Roger that!

I’ve been a keen sports fan since childhood, and the World Cup 1994 in the United States is probably the first big competition I remember in detail. Who can forget a five-goal match by Oleg Salenko that didn't mean a thing?! I’ve worked in UEFA for 15 years, so I no longer watch football nowadays. My favourite sports are American football, baseball, darts, and snooker, and I know everything about the UFC.
