Villarreal have been among the top seven teams in most years for over a decade. Last year, by finishing fifth, they secured the Champions League! Even though they haven't had the best start in the CL by winning one point in the first two rounds, they are again doing great in La Liga. After eight rounds, Villarreal are sitting in 3rd place with 16 points. The main reason for such a good result is their amazing home run, where they have a 100% win rate. 

In the previous game against Real Madrid, right full-back Santiago Mourino received a red card and will be suspended. He is their best option in that position, but the Yellow Submarine have a decent backup in Adria Altimira. Besides suspended Mourino, Juan Foyth, Willy Kambwala, and Logan Costa, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined. 

Real Betis are also a team that was among the top seven teams in Spain in the previous years. Last year, they finished sixth but could have had an even better season and maybe secured the Champions League. Unfortunately, they blew that chance in the final four games of the season. This year, the Andalusian team had a bit of a slower start, but as the season progresses, they are doing better and better. Right now, they sit in fourth place with 15 points - one point away from their next opponent, Villarreal. 

After a 2:1 win over Espanyol, coach Manuel Pellegrini spoke to the media. He was very happy with a win, calling it very important. He praised his side's mentality and effort, saying they played with personality from the start of the game. "We showed intensity, control, and character. These are the wins that build confidence," the coach added.
