Udinese vs Lecce prediction 25.10.2025 | Serie A

Udinese became a synonym for a mid-table team in the previous seasons. This year, they collected nine points after seven league rounds and are six points above the relegation zone. However, Udinese are not playing well at the moment as they have won only one of their last five matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Kosta Runjaic's team played 1-1 on the road against Cremonese. The hosts almost doubled Udinese's xG, but the guests still found a way to salvage one point. 

The game against Cremonese was the first in the season for goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who missed the first two months due to suspension connected with the betting scandal. Udinese's head coach, Kosta Runjaic, confirmed that Okoye will remain the first-choice goalkeeper. 

Thomas Kristensen is injured and will not play against Lecce on Saturday afternoon. 

The 2025/26 campaign marks Lecce's fourth consecutive season in Serie A, the longest top-flight run in the century. After narrowly avoiding relegation last year, the Giallorossi once again find themselves among the teams expected to battle for survival. Eusebio Di Francesco's team won only six points in the opening seven rounds. Interestingly, five of six Lecce points came in the previous three games, showing slight progress. In the previous match, they played 0-0 at home against Sassuolo. Neither side showed enough quality to deserve more, so the stalemate felt like a fair result for both teams.

Lecce failed to beat Sassuolo, but the head coach Di Francesco was still satisfied. He said, "I must say that I liked the team; they did not concede anything to Sassuolo, especially in the first half. We lacked in the last meters, we definitely need to look more for the entrance in the box, but we are working on it".

Lecce have some problems with missing players. Riccardo Sottil, Ganza Rafia, Matias Perez, and Gaby Jean are unavailable for the game in Udine.
