Tunisia brings their successful World Cup qualification campaign to a conclusion on Monday when they take on Namibia at Stade Hammadi Agrebi.

Having already secured their spot in next summer's finals, Tunisia will be keen to finish their campaign in style when they take on a Namibia side still battling to secure a playoff spot from Group H.

Just one goal was scored in two previous meetings between these nations, and a similarly tight encounter is expected on Monday.

Tunisia team overview

Tunisia return to home comforts with top spot in Group G already secured after a dominant 6:0 win against Group H minnows Sao Tome and Principe on Friday. Elias Saad and Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane both bagged braces in a convincing away victory for Sami Trabelsi's side.

A superb qualification campaign has seen Tunisia win eight of nine games played, remaining unbeaten in the section while conceding ZERO goals.

The Eagles of Carthage are now ten points clear of second-placed Namibia, and having kept clean sheets in all nine previous matches in the group, will be determined to keep the door locked against on Monday.

Head coach Trabelsi is unlikely to make too many changes from the side that romped to an easy win against Sao Tome and Principe. Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane is in contention for a starting berth after bagging twice in his substitute appearance on Friday.

Namibia

Namibia team overview

Namibia make the trip to Tunis with their qualification hopes severely damaged after a 3:1 defeat against Group H rivals Liberia on Thursday. Two goals conceded in the first ten minutes proved the downfall for Collin Benjamin's boys.

Despite that defeat, the Brave Warriors remain second in the section, one point ahead of Liberia coming into Monday's final round of fixtures. However, Namibia must match the Liberians result against Equatorial Guinea if they are to secure a second-placed finish and with it a resultant playoff spot.

Up-and-down in the goal markets, six of the visitors' last ten games did not see BTTS, and I expect another low-scoring outcome on Monday.

Head coach Benjamin is likely to make some changes to his first XI in Tunis. Tjipe Karuuombe and David Ndeunyema are among those in contention to earn a recall to the side.

Prediction

Tunisia have been remarkably rock-solid in this World Cup qualification campaign, and I expect them to secure a full house of clean sheets on Monday.

BTTS - No is my best bet in Tunis.

Three Reasons Why We Expect BTTS - No

  1. Tunisia have kept a clean sheet in their last 9 matches (World Cup qualifiers)
  2. Namibia have seen BTTS - NO in 6 of their last 10 matches
  3. Tunisia have seen BTTS - No in their last 2 matches against Namibia
