Tottenham vs Bournemouth prediction 30.08.2025 | Premier League

The 2024/25 Premier League campaign was the worst for Tottenham in the 21st century as they ended 17th on the table. The year was saved with an unexpected trophy in the Europa League and a return to the Champions League. After the season, Tottenham sacked Ange Postecoglou and appointed Thomas Frank as the head coach. 

It is hard to include Tottenham among the best Premier League teams, but they certainly impressed in the opening two league rounds as they collected all six points. Last weekend, Frank's team won 2-0 on the road against Manchester City. The home side had ball possession and better xG stats, but Tottenham used most of their opportunities and secured a victory that would give them a significant confidence boost. 

We are already late in the summer transfer window, but Tottenham will surely make a few more moves. According to reports, Frank's side is interested in Piero Hincapie, Lucas Paqueta, Antoine Semenyo, Ademola Lookman, and Kobbie Mainoo. In the next few days, we could see big changes in Tottenham. 

It is still early in the season, but Tottenham have big injury problems already. They will be without James Maddison, Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski, Manor Solomon, Bryan Gil, and Kota Takai. Also, Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie are questionable, and their status will be clearer closer to the kickoff. 

Last season was excellent for Bournemouth. They ended ninth on the table and would surely be very satisfied if they could achieve the same at the end of the 2025/26 season, too. Bournemouth started the Premier League with three points from two matches. On Tuesday, Andoni Iraola's team played in the EFL Cup, where they lost 2-0 at home against Brentford. The home side probably deserved more from that match as they ended the game with 65% ball possession and 11 shots on goal more than the opponent, but they ended their EFL Cup campaign already in the 1/32 final. 

Bournemouth are active in the transfer market, too. Axel Disasi is in the advanced stages of negotiating a transfer from Chelsea to the Cherries. 

Bournemouth doesn't have big problems with missing players. Enes Unal, Julian Araujo, and Lewis Cook are the only players who should miss Saturday's game against Tottenham.
