Strasbourg vs Breidablik prediction 18.12.2025 | Europa Conference League

Strasbourg had an excellent last season, finishing seventh and securing Europe. However, this season, the Blue and Whites had an even better start, and it seemed they could get involved in a battle for the top four spots and the Champions League. Unfortunately, after winning one point in the past four league games, Strasbourg dropped to seventh place - four points away from European spots. 

Even though they heavily slowed down in Ligue 1, the Blue and Whites continued to dominate in the UECL and are at the top of the league table with 13 points in five rounds. 

For the upcoming game, Mamadou Sarr and Guela Doue will be unavailable since they have been called up for their NT for the Africa Cup of Nations. Moreover, Emmanuel Emegha will remain sidelined as well. However, there is no clarification on whether he is out with an injury or due to a club suspension. According to the club's website, the players failed to respect the club's values. Still, that suspension should have been only for one game, and he already missed the previous two. 

Due to Iceland's different football calendar, Breidablik's season in the domestic competition has already finished. Unfortunately, the team from Reykjavik has finished fourth and will miss Europe next season. Considering they won the title last year and also secured European Qualifiers in the past seven years, this season has to be considered a failure. 

However, in the Conference League, the Icelandic team is doing well by their standards. They are in 27th place with five points from five rounds -  two points from the top 16. In order to have some chance of securing the next phase, they need to win the match where they are a heavy underdog and then rely on several favorable results on the final matchday. We can safely say their chances are slim.
