Standard Liege face their first fixture in a fortnight looking to return to winning form after a disappointing 1:0 defeat at Sint-Truidense VV last time out.

A mixed run of form has seen Wouter Vrancken´s side win four and lose four of their last eight games played in the past two months. As a consequence of their inconsistencies, Liege find themselves 11th in the 16-team league, just two points above the relegation zone. 

A high-scoring outcome should be expected considering the hosts recent form and record in this fixture. All but one of their last 12 meetings finished with a minimum of three goals scored while seven of the last ten meetings between these sides, including a 2:2 draw at this venue last season, finished with BTTS. 

Standard boss Vrancken is unable to call on four first-team players this week. Marlon Fossey, Allan Calut, Boli Bolingoli and David Bates remain sidelined with various injury issues.

Zulte Waregem return to Pro League business after a frustrating 2:2 draw at Dender two weeks ago. Luc Marijnissen's late goal secured only a fifth point of the season for the home side. 

Sven Vandenbroeck's men have been in decent form this season, particularly on their travels. The visitors are unbeaten in eight of their last nine matches, including each of their last four away Pro League fixtures. 

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent in recent weeks. Four of Zulete´s last five games finished with over 2.5 goals scored. In fact, all four of those matches saw at least four goals, including a 4:1 defeat against title-holders USG.

Both teams like to get forward, and that should inspire an open contest with at least one goal scored in the first half. Zulte have seen at least one first half goal in each of their last five games.
