Real Valladolid return to action looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1:0 defeat at Cultural Leonesa last weekend. 

Francisco Escribá Segura’s side have now lost three of their last four league matches, and now sit only five points above the relegation zone. 

While the hosts have won three of their last four home fixtures, they have lost seven of 17 home games this season, failing to win more than half of all games played at José Zorrilla this season.

Head coach Segura has two confirmed injury absentees this week. Guille Bueno is ruled out with a cruciate ligament injury and is not expected to return until later this year, while Sergi Canos is another absentee in attack.

An in-form Eibar arrive at Estádio José Zorrilla with sky-high confidence after extending their winning run against Ceuta last weekend. 

Top scorer Javier Martón opened the scoring with an early penalty before further goals from Carlos Hernández (OG) and Jon Bautista secured a well-deserved 3:0 win for Benat San Jose’s rapidly improving side.

An outstanding run of form has seen Eibar win six and draw one of their last seven La Liga 2 fixtures. Over a longer period, the visitors won 11 and lost just two of 16 previous league fixtures. 

Up to eighth in the division, San Jose’s men now find themselves just three points outside of the playoff zone. 

Head coach San Jose is expected to retain confidence in the same side that eased past Ceuta. The visitors have no reported injury worries.
