Betis come into this fixture in encouraging form, having suffered only one defeat in their opening nine La Liga matches and currently sitting just outside the top four. Their momentum extends beyond domestic competition, as they remain unbeaten in the Europa League as well (one win and two draws). In La Liga, they have won three of their last four league games, including two home victories at the Estadio de la Cartuja. Offensively, Betis average around 1.75 goals per match at home, while defensively they boast the joint-third best record in the league, with only 10 goals conceded so far. 

On the injury front, however, there is a concern: Isco remains sidelined and will not be available for selection.

Atlético arrive at the Estadio de la Cartuja following a disappointing Champions League setback on Tuesday. Diego Simeone’s side were comprehensively beaten 4-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates, a result that ended their six-match unbeaten run across all competitions. While Atlético’s defensive record this season has not been disastrous, they have struggled to keep opponents out, failing to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight matches in all competitions. 

Despite the midweek defeat, Atlético have maintained a strong domestic run and are currently unbeaten in their last eight La Liga matches (W4, D4). Ahead of Monday’s trip to Seville, Johnny Cardoso and Matteo Ruggeri are the only players not fully fit, though both remain in contention depending on late assessments.
