PSV have another excellent Eredivisie campaign. After 20 league rounds, they are already 14 points ahead of the next team on the table, Feyenoord, so it would be surprising if the team from Eindhoven doesn't win its third consecutive league title. In the Champions League, PSV are in a much harder position and still have to secure the next phase. After a heavy defeat against Newcastle last week (3-0), Peter Bosz's team followed with only a 2-2 draw at the home stadium against NAC Breda. After five conceded goals in two matches, it is clear that PSV have to do much better defensively if it wants to have any chances against Bayern Munich.

PSV's head coach, Peter Bosz, was disappointed after the game against NAC Breda. He said, "The first fifteen minutes, I really thought: what am I looking at? The ball wasn't even played well three times in a row. That says enough. In the course of the game, it got a little better, but it was just a bad game from our side."

Myron Boadu, Yarek Gasiorowski, Nick Olij, Ricardo Pepi, Alassane Plea, Anass Salah-Eddine, Guus Til, and Ruben van Bommel are unavailable for Wednesday's game against Bayern Munich. Also, Wessel Kuhn is questionable.

Bayern Munich are almost unstoppable this season. In the Bundesliga, they are at the top of the standings with eight points more than Borussia Dortmund, while in the Champions League, Bayern are one of two teams that already secured a place in the 1/8 final. Vincent Kompany's team were on a fantastic run of six wins in a row until Saturday, when Bayern surprisingly lost 2-1 at home against Augsburg. Although the hosts had 70% ball possession, they didn't create enough goal-scoring chances, and the guests shockingly took home all three points.

Bayern lost over the weekend against Augsburg, but Vincent Kompany wasn't completely disappointed. He said, "I'm more disappointed with the result than with the performance. We were in a good position, and we gave it away. We couldn't bring the same energy as in the past games in the second half."

Bayern Munich have some problems with missing players, too. They will be without Sacha Boey, Min-jae Kim, Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic, and Dayot Upamecano, while Serge Gnabry and Raphael Guerreiro are questionable.
