Orihuela vs Levante prediction 30.10.2025 | Copa del Rey

Orihuela didn't have much success in the previous years, spending time in the lower tiers of Spanish football. Last season, they ended in mid-table of the Segunda RFEF - Group 4 league. Those results undoubtedly don't satisfy ambitious Orihuela, but they won the Copa Federación de España and qualified for the Copa del Rey through the cup, which features teams from lower tiers. 

Orihuela were solid in the Copa del Rey in the past couple of seasons. Last season, they hosted Getafe and were close to winning against the La Liga side, but eventually, the guests kept calm and won after the penalty shootout. 

Orihuela entered the 2025/26 season with high expectations, but they collected only 11 points in the first eight league rounds and again looked like a mid-table team. Orihuela won two of the last five matches in all competitions. Last weekend, they won 3-1 at home against Quintanar del Rey. The home side was trailing at halftime, but they turned the game entirely in the second half and secured a valuable victory. 

Last season, Levante played in La Liga 2, where they won the championship title and returned to the strongest competition in the country. After three years in the second tier, Levante's primary goal for the 2025/26 season is to avoid relegation. Expectedly, Julian Calero's team is one of the worst in the competition, but with nine points in ten rounds, Levante still holds its head above the water. Calero's team played well recently as they lost only one of the last four matches. In the most recent outing, Levante played 1-1 on the road against Mallorca. The guests ended with xG of 2.09, so even Levante's victory wouldn't be undeserved. 

Levante didn't have too much success in the Copa del Rey in the last couple of seasons. Last year, Calero's team shockingly lost 4-1 against Pontevedra in the first round. Levante will want to show a different face on Thursday in Orihuela. 

Diego Varela Pampin and Oriol Rey are unavailable and will not play in the upcoming cup clash. Also, the head coach, Julian Calero, will likely rotate the squad and give rest to some of the regular starters.
