Nottingham Forest vs Everton prediction 30.12.2025 | Premier League

After an excellent previous season, Nottingham Forest had high expectations for the current campaign. However, the Tricky Trees struggled badly for long stretches, only finding some consistency in recent weeks. Thanks to a small upturn in form, Forest now sit a relatively comfortable five points above the relegation zone. Sean Dyche's team is on a run of two defeats in a row. In the previous match, they lost 2-1 at home against Manchester City. The guests ended with xG of 1.45, compared with Forest's modest 0.55, making it little surprise that the hosts came away empty-handed.

Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare are at the African Cup of Nations and will not play for the next few weeks. Nottingham Forest will also be without injured Chris Wood, Ola Aina, Dan Ndoye, and Ryan Yates. 

Everton reestablished themselves as a mid-table team in the previous two seasons. The current campaign is not significantly different. Maybe David Moyes' team doesn't have the quality to remain in the race for the places in the European competition, but they are good enough not to worry about relegation. Everton weren't at their usual level in the last three matches, as they picked up only one point. In the most recent outing, Moyes' team drew 0-0 away to Burnley. The hosts were better, but Everton defended well and left with one point. 

Everton have some problems with missing players, too. Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye are at the African Cup of Nations, while Seamus Coleman, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are injured and will not travel to Nottingham. Also, Jack Grealish missed the previous match due to illness, and it is still unknown whether he will recover in time for the upcoming trip. If Grealish doesn't play, we should expect Tyler Dibling to start again.
