European Championship
These teams already met in this World Cup Qualifier cycle, with the Germans winning 3:1 at home. Germany completely dominated the game and deservedly won the match. The Germans were, expectedly, a lot better in the previous h2h games as well, winning ten consecutive games.
Regarding the number of goals, seven out of those ten ended with three or more goals. Meanwhile, both teams scored in five out of the last ten h2h games.
Northern Ireland team overview
Northern Ireland haven't appeared in the World Cup since 1986 in Mexico. They also had very little success in Euro Qualifiers, only reaching the main tournament once (in 2016) in their history. The fact that they are a team that constantly moves between UEFA Nations League B and C says a lot about where they are ranked in Europe.
However, this WC Qualifying group isn't too challenging. If we assume Germany will finish first, Northern Ireland and Slovakia will battle for that second spot. And with a win over Slovakia in the last game, "The Green and White Army" massively improved their chances of securing a top-two spot. Right now, after three rounds, Germany, Northern Ireland, and Slovakia each have six points, while Luxembourg has zero. So, everything is still open, and that's why this match means so much.

Germany team overview
Germany are one of the best national teams in the World. However, their recent results weren't even remotely as good as expected. They finished the last two WC's in the Group stage, which is unacceptable. In Euro, they had a bit more success, but not enough to call it a success as they finished campaigns in 1/8 and Quarter-Finals.
Before the WC Qualifiers, Germany managed to reach the Playoffs in the UEFA Nations League A, but lost both games and eventually finished fourth. They continued with poor results in the WC Qualifiers as they lost the opening match 2:0 against Slovakia, further complicating their lives. Now, they cannot drop points again because a loss to either Slovakia or Northern Ireland could easily put them all the way to third place.
For this match, Germany will miss some of their "big names", mostly due to injuries - Antonio Rüdiger, Jamal Musiala, Niclas Füllkrug, Kai Havertz, Julian Brandt, etc. However, they have a deep team, and that shouldn't be a problem.

Prediction
Both teams won two and lost once in these Qualifiers. Yet, the difference in quality between these two teams is massive! We saw that in the h2h game between these teams in the WC Qualifiers, when Germany completely dominated the match. They won 3:1 in the end, but probably deserved an even bigger win. The Germans had 80% ball possession and allowed Northern Ireland only one shot on goal for the entire game! That was in Germany, but we doubt the outcome will be different in Belfast.
Also, Germany won the last ten h2h games across the competition and covered the -1.5 AH spread on nine occasions.
Considering all the above, we believe that anything but a big win for Germany would be a massive surprise in this World Cup Qualifier tie.
3 Reasons why Germany should win and cover the -1.5 AH spread
- Germany won the previous h2h game 3:0
- Germany won the last ten h2h games and covered the spread on nine occasions
- Northern Ireland's total market value is around 89 million euros, compared to Germany's 750 million
Main prediction Northern Ireland - Germany
AH2 (-1.5)
