Nantes vs Lens prediction 06.12.2025 | Ligue 1

In the previous few seasons, Nantes always successfully escaped relegation. The current campaign will be challenging, too. After 14 league rounds, Nantes are three points behind safety. Luis Castro's team are in terrible form, having collected only two points in the last five matches. In the previous game, Nantes lost 3-0 on the road against Lyon. The home side had problems breaking down the guests in the first half, but after Junior Mwanga's red card, Lyon dominated in the second 45 minutes and left Nantes empty-handed. 

The head coach, Luis Castro, arrived in Nantes in July. The club had great expectations from the Portuguese. However, after the heavy defeat to Lyon, speculation has emerged that Castro could be sacked if Nantes lose their next match.

Junior Mwanga will skip the upcoming game against Lens after a red card in the previous Ligue 1 round. Also, Louis Leroux and Francis Coquelin are injured and will skip the forthcoming clash. 

Lens are the most pleasing surprise in Ligue 1 this season. They are at the top of the standings with one point more than PSG. Lens are in fantastic form recently with seven victories in the last eight matches. In the most recent outing, they won 2-1 on the road against Angers. The home side ended the game with only xG of 1.16, while the guests had 2.05, so anything other than Lens' victory would be unfair.

Although Lens are at the top of the Ligue 1 standings after 14 rounds, that doesn't fully satisfy head coach Pierre Sage. He said, "We need to learn to manage games better so we don't find ourselves in such tough situations at the end of matches."We still have room for improvement, and we will always strive forward until we reach the peak of our potential."

Adrien Thomasson and Morgan Guilavogui are suspended for Saturday, while Jonathan Gradit is injured and unavailable as well.
