Monaco team overview
Last season, Monaco barely secured Europe, finishing 7th, just one point away from missing out. However, this season, they started well across competitions. Besides securing the Conference League main phase by beating Gornik Zabrze, they are also sitting in 2nd place in Ligue 1 with 10 points, level with 1st-placed Lille. So, an overall great start, especially if we consider that they have already beaten teams like Marseille and PSG in Ligue 1.
In the previous game against Strasbourg, midfielder Anis Soubeir suffered an injury and left the field after 22 minutes. He is listed as questionable, while Folarin Balogun, Mamadou Coulibaly, Ansu Fati, Takumi Minamino, and Jordan Teze should remain sidelined with their injuries.

Lens team overview
Lens had an excellent last season, finishing 2nd and winning the Coupe de France under Pierre Sage. This season, they have had a somewhat slow start after Sage left, which eventually led to another coaching change. The club sacked Dino Toppmöller after only six games in charge, which many football pundits thought was far too early. They eventually appointed assistant manager Yannick Cahuzac as the caretaker manager.
After four rounds, they sit in 10th place with four points. To be fair, they started their Champions League campaign with a 3:2 win over Slavia Prague. Still, the performance once again wasn't on point.
For the upcoming game, new coach Cahuzac will have no new injuries, but the players who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Yacine Titraoui, Maik Nawrocki, Jhoanner Chavez, Samson Baidoo, and Saud Abdulhamid.

Prediction
Monaco started the season well, winning five out of six games across competitions. They only failed to win against Strasbourg in the previous game on the road. Still, before that match, they secured two incredible wins against PSG and Marseille. Additionally, Monaco won both home games this season with a 6:1 goal difference.
Lens won once in the last four games. That win came against Slavia Prague (3:2). Despite Slavia getting the red card at 0:0, they were still close to securing at least a draw. Generally speaking, Lens are in terrible form and should have massive problems against Monaco on the road. That should especially be true after a coaching change only days before.
Considering all the above, we firmly believe that the hosts should secure a comfortable win at Stade Louis II.
4 Reasons why Monaco should win
- Monaco won five out of six games this season
- Monaco won both home games this season
- Lens won once in the past four games
- Lens changed the coach only days ago
