Millwall are playing their ninth consecutive season in the Championship, where they have mostly been a mid-table team and have consistently missed the Playoffs. This season, the popular Lions have been much better, but after losing the last two games, they dropped to 6th place. After 22 rounds, they've won 35 points and are only one point away from dropping out of the Playoffs. So, they must start winning points again, especially against other promotion candidates. However, they were pretty bad against the top six teams, having won just one point in four games thus far (vs Coventry, Middlesbrough, Hull, and Preston). 

While the team will have no new injuries, seven players who missed previous matches due to injury should remain sidelined: Joshua Coburn, Luke Cundle, Casper De Norre, Lukas Jensen, Massimo Luongo, Derek Mazou-Sacko, and William Smallbone. Additionally, the team will miss Femi Azeez, who received a three-game ban on 13th December. While the club appealed to the FA, it was denied, and the team's top goalscorer will remain sidelined. 

Ipswich suffered relegation from the Premier League last year and are looking for an instant return. While they had some ups and downs throught the season, the popular Tractor Boys are in good form, having won three of the last four matches. Now, they are in 3rd place with 37 points - five away from direct promotion! However, their road performances have been far from impressive and will be tested against Millwall at The Den in London. 

In the previous game against Sheffield Wednesday, striker George Hirst suffered a muscle injury and had to leave the field after only nine minutes. According to credible sources, the 26-year-old will be sidelined for at least a few weeks. Meanwhile, Conor Townsend, Harry Clarke, and Wes Burns will remain sidelined with their injuries. At the same time, Sammie Szmodics is questionable due to an illness.
