No matter what happens in the rest of the 2024/25 season, Manchester United's Premier League campaign will be remembered as one of the worst in the club's history. The team from Old Trafford could finish in the place just above the drop zone, and that will be seen as a disaster for sure. However, the season could be saved in the Europa League. Ruben Amorim's team progressed to the final of the second most important UEFA competition, and with the title, Manchester United would secure a place in the Champions League for the next season. 

Manchester United won two of the last three matches. In the previous game, they won 4-1 at home in the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao. In the first leg, the English club won 3-0, so with two convincing wins, they progressed to the final. The games in the rest of the Premier League don't mean much, so Manchester United should focus on preparing for the Europa League final that will be played in less than two weeks. 

West Ham are terrible this year, too. They are currently only one position above the relegation zone, and only because Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton are terrible and already relegated, West Ham didn't have problems securing their place in the Premier League. Graham Potter's team has not won in the last eight matches. In the previous game, they played 1-1 at home against Tottenham. The teams were pretty even in that match, so splitting points was probably the fairest outcome.

Manchester United scored ten goals in the last three matches. On the other hand, West Ham scored at least one goal in each of the previous five games. We should expect at least three goals in the upcoming tie at Old Trafford.
