Manchester City return to action unbeaten in seven matches after a 1:0 win at Brentford two weeks ago. Erling Haaland was the hero once again, as the Norwegian bagged his 12th goal of the season for the Citizens.

Pep Guardiola's side have begun to find some better form after losing two of their first three games of the season. City picked up victories in five of their last seven matches, including both of their last two games at the Etihad. 

A dominant record in this fixture should give the home side the edge this weekend but an easy win cannot be expected. Everton are unlikely to prove easy opponents this weekend. The Toffees picked up 1:1 draws in their last two visits to the Etihad but have not beaten City since 2017.

Head coach Guardiola has at least two players unavailable this weekend. Rayan Cherki and Rayan Aït-Nouri remain in the treatment room.

Everton makes the trip to Manchester in high spirits after an impressive comeback victory against Crystal Palace two weeks ago. Jack Grealish's stoppage-time winner secured three points against an Eagles side unbeaten in 19 previous matches.

A decent start to the campaign has seen David Moyes's side pick up three wins, while losing only two of seven Premier League games played. Everton sit eighth in the division, two points behind Man City.

The Toffees have struggled on their travels though. Moyes's men have lost two of three away PL games this season, while they also slipped to an EFL Cup defeat at Wolves.

Head coach Moyes is unable to call on three players this weekend. Jarrad Branthwaite, Nathan Patterson and Merlin Röhl are all ruled out for the visitors.
