Bournemouth's ninth-place finish in the Premier League last season was their best in the top flight for eight years. The success appears to have given them a boost, as the Cherries have upped their game and are currently sitting in second place.

Andoni Iraola’s team didn’t have the best start, losing their opening game 4-2 to Liverpool, but they have been unbeaten in the league since then.

Their eight-match unbeaten run features wins against Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Brighton, Tottenham and Wolves, so their chances of getting something from the Etihad this weekend are high.

However, Enes Ünal (cruciate ligament), Evanilson (calf) and David Brooks (hamstring) will not be available for the trip to the Etihad this weekend due to injury.
