Malmö welcome FC Copenhagen to the Eleda Stadium in the third qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League season for what can only be described as a small Scandinavian derby.
The reigning Swedish champions had a long road to reach the third qualifying round of the Champions League 25/26. They began in the first round against Georgian side Iberia, whom they defeated convincingly 6-2 in the two first legs. In the second round, they faced Latvian club RFS - a clear 4-1 victory in Riga was enough to progress to the second leg, which Malmö also won 1-0.
FC Copenhagen were fortunate to start their Champions League campaign in the second qualifying round in 25/26. They were drawn against Kosovan side Drita, who they defeated 3-0 in the two first legs to progress to the third round of the competition.

Prediction
Malmö have an unblemished record in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League qualifiers so far. They have won all four qualifying matches in more than convincing style, scoring a total of 11 goals in the process. The reigning Swedish champions have put together an impressive run of ten games without defeat in recent months, winning seven games in a row in all competitions. For this reason, we expect Malmö to get at least a draw on Tuesday and not lose (double chance x1).
Three reasons we expect Double chance x1
- Malmo have won all 4 Champions League qualifying matches in this season so far
- Malmo have won 7 consecutive matches in all competitions
- Malmo are undefeated in 10 consecutive matches in all competitions, of which 7 were played at home
Main prediction -
