Liverpool are not even close to being in contention for the Premier League title this season, but they seem good enough to sneak into the top four teams in the competition. Liverpool are currently three points behind the Champions League spots, and every point in the rest of the campaign could be crucial. Arne Slot's team is in solid form with five victories in the last seven matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, they lost 1-0 on the road against Galatasaray. The teams were pretty even, and the visitors probably deserved to score, but eventually, the hosts ended with an advantage after the first leg.

Liverpool's manager, Arne Slot, thought his team deserved more given the chances they created in Istanbul. He commented, "I wouldn't say frustration, but that's a situation we are facing, and I'm responsible for that. Tottenham have big problems with missing players. They will be without Wilson Odobert, James Madisson, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies, Lucas Bergvall, Destiny Udogue, and Micky van de Ven on Sunday at Anfield. Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha are questionable, and their statuses will be clearer closer to the kickoff.
