- Competition: Super Cup
- Date: Sunday, 13th July, 2025
- Kickoff: 17:00 UK / 18:00 CEST
- Venue: Stadion Poznan (Poznań)
On Sunday evening, the Extraklasa and Cup winners, Lech Poznan and Legia, will face off against each other in the Super Cup at Stadion Poznan in Poznań.
After the title in the 2021/22 season, Lech Poznan's results constantly declined, finishing third and fifth in the following two seasons. However, last year, they finally won the title at a super interesting end of the season. They eventually secured the title just one point above second-placed Rakow.
Meanwhile, Legia, a 15-time Ektraklasa champion, saved their season through the Cup. If it weren't for the Cup title, they wouldn't secured the European Qualifiers, considering they finished fifth in the league - seven points away from third place and the European spots. Their season started a little earlier, and they already played in the Conference League Qualifiers 1st Round vs Aktobe. They opened the season well, beating the Kazakhstan team 1:0.
Lech Poznan vs Legia pick: Over 2.5 goals
Lech Poznan went over 2.5 goals in both friendlies this season. In Extraklasa, they were one of the best teams in the league for this bet, as 56% of their games ended with three or more goals. Only GKS Katowive, Cracovia, and Radomiak Radom had more games with three or more goals.
Legia have been pretty good offensively in the pre-season, scoring a total of ten goals in four matches - 2.5 per game. Also, if we combined the Aktobe game this season, pre-season, and the end of the last season, they went over 2.5 goals in five of the previous seven matches - 71%.
In the previous three h2h games, we saw three or more goals twice - 67%. While it is early to tell what we can expect from these teams at the moment, considering all the above, an over 2.5 goals bet seems like the best option for this Super Cup tie.

Legia Warszawa team news
During the offseason, the club parted ways with coach Goncalo Feio and appointed Edward Iordanescu on 1st July 2025. Before joining Legia, Iordanescu was in charge of the Romania national team, FCSB, Cluj, and several other Romanian teams. Besides the new coach acquisition, the club added only right full-back Petar Stojanovic on a free transfer from Serie B.
On the other hand, several players left the team, but only one of them was important last year - winger Luquinbas. The 27-year-old Brasilian was one of the key players last season but was only on a loan deal from Fortaleza.
