Cremonese have moved between Serie A and B in recent seasons. Last year, they secured promotion through the playoffs and are only looking to survive this year. For now, that plan is doing more than OK since they are sitting in 11th place with 20 points after 15 rounds. If they keep up this pace, "I Grigiorossi" will easily secure survival. At the moment, they are eight points away from the danger zone.

In the previous game against Torino, midfielder Martin Payero received his fifth yellow card and will be suspended. Besides suspended Payero, five more players who missed the previous games with injuries should remain sidelined. However, just Matteo Bianchetti is among the key players from the starting lineup.
