Germany vs Serbia prediction 01.10.2026 | Nations League

Germany had another poor World Cup, exiting in the 1/16 Finals after losing to Paraguay 2:1. After another bad WC campaign, NT turned a new page by appointing Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp. However, the new era under the famous coach started terribly as they won one point in the first two games against the Netherlands and Greece. Now, they are under pressure to win points, and Serbia looks like a perfect opponent to grab a much-needed win. 

Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz, who were originally called to the national team, are ruled out with injuries and have already missed the game against Greece. Both will miss the upcoming game.

After a 1:0 loss to Greece, coach Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media. He wasn't too worried, saying it's part of the process and that he is completely unbothered. The coach said they failed to break the opposition's low block but also noted they cannot lose games like that.

Serbia made a coaching change mid-Qualifiers but still failed to reach the World Cup. Unfortunately, they had very little success under coach Veljko Paunovic since his appointment across competitions, losing six out of nine games, with their only positive results coming against poor teams. 

In the UEFA Nations League, they lost to Greece and the Netherlands 2:1, while looking pretty bad in the process. For many football pundits, this Serbia squad is simply not good enough to compete with teams in UEFA Nations League A, with many calling this generation one of the weakest in a long time. 

Three key players are missing from the squad due to injuries - Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dusan Vlahovic, and Nikola Milenkovic. That is a massive blow for an already struggling Serbia side.
