Freiburg returns to Bundesliga duties after a hard-fought Europa League victory against Basel on Thursday. Maximilian Eggestein's second-half goal proved decisive as Julian Schuster's side held on for a well-deserved win at Europa-Park-Stadion.

An excellent run of form has seen the home side pick up three successive victories, including an impressive 3:1 win against Stuttgart.

Head coach Ilzer has four players missing for the trip to Freiburg. Adam Hlozek, Valentin Gendrey, Koki Machida and Ozan Kabak are all ruled out with various injury issues.
