FC Porto vs Vitoria de Guimaraes prediction 04.12.2025 | Taça da Liga

FC Porto turn their attention to the Taça da Liga after a hard-fought 1:0 win against Estoril in the Primeira Liga last weekend. William Gomes early goal proved the winner as Porto laboured to victory at the Estádio do Dragão.

Francesco Farioli's side have been in excellent form domestically, picking up an impressive 11 wins from 12 league games this season. Porto's only dropped points came in a 0:0 draw against rivals Benfica. 

Since the start of the season, the Dragons have barely put a foot wrong, with 16 wins and just one defeat from 19 matches across all competitions. 

Head coach Farioli has a strong squad available this week. Nehuén Pérez is the only confirmed injury absentee for the home side.

Vitoria de Guimaraes face the daunting trip to the Estádio do Dragão in high spirits after a thumping 4:0 win against AVS last weekend. Oumar Camara put the seal on a commanding home victory for Vitoria. 

Os Conquistadores have now won six of their last eight games, including another 4:0 victory against Mortagua in the Taça da Liga round of sixteen.

While in strong form, Luis Pinto's side have struggled on their travels, and in previous matches against Porto. Vitoria lost four of six previous away games, and 14 of their last 16 games against the in-form home side.

Head coach Pinto is expected to retain confidence in the same side that easily dispatched AVS. Gustavo Silva remains sidelined with an undisclosed injury issue.
