FC Copenhagen vs Kairat Almaty prediction 26.11.2025 | Champions League

FC Copenhagen won the domestic title last season, their third in the previous four years. This season, the popular Lions opened the season well and looked like the primary candidates for the title once again. Unfortunately, they had a very poor October and because of it dropped to 4th place in Superliga - six points behind the first-placed Aarhus. 

In the Champions League, they also started the competition well, winning one point in the opening game vs Bayer Leverkusen, but then lost the following three. After the Kairat Almaty game, they will have a really tough schedule - Villarreal, Napoli, and Barcelona. So, this match is undoubtedly a must-win for them. 

After a 1:0 win over Brondby, coach Jacob Neestrup spoke to the media. He said it was a tough derby where they deserved to win. The coach noted it was a really important victory because they were under pressure before the game. He was happy with a win, calling it a positive step, but also admitted they need to make more progress. 

Unlike most European football leagues, which are still in the early stages of the season, the campaign in Kazakhstan already ended about a month ago. Kairat Almaty managed to win the title - their fifth ever and second in a row. 

However, in the Champions League, they had a really challenging schedule and managed to win just one point in four rounds. Interestingly, Kairat's last game was against Inter in the Champions League, three weeks ago. It will be interesting to see whether that rest would have a positive or a negative effect. 

After a 2:1 loss to Inter on 5th November, coach Rafael Urazbakhtin spoke to the media. He said the match was an unforgettable experience for the players and that he is proud of them despite losing the game. When asked about facing big European clubs, the coach only promised they would give everything and put in a worthy performance.
