Elche vs Real Sociedad prediction 07.11.2025 | La Liga

Elche return to home comforts after a spirited performance in their 3:1 defeat at Barcelona last weekend. Rafa Mir's stunning first-half goal gave the visitors hope of a revival, before Marcus Rashford sealed the points for the Catalan giants. 

While winless in four La Liga matches, Eder Sarabia Armesto's side have built up an excellent record at Estadio Martínez Valero. Los Franjiverdes are unbeaten in five home La Liga games since their promotion to the top flight last summer. 

Going back to their last campaign in 2022/23, Elche are now unbeaten in nine successive home league fixtures. 

A low-scoring contest should be on the cards at Estadio Martínez Valero. Elche have seen under 2.5 goals scored in four of five home La Liga games this season.

Head coach Valero is unlikely to make too many changes from the side that slipped to defeat in Barcelona last weekend. Los Franjiverdes have no reported injury issues.

Real Sociedad make the trip to Elche after a remarkable 3:2 win in the Basque derby against Athletic Bilbao last weekend. Jon Gorrotxategi's stoppage time goal secured a famous win for Sergio Francisco's side.

An improved run of form has seen Real win each of their last three competitive fixtures, however a poor start to the season sees the visitors winless in all but three of 11 La Liga matches completed.

Placed 14th in the division, two points behind Elche, Sociedad have been particularly poor on the road this year. The Txuri-urdin failed to win any of five away La Liga games this season, while they have not picked up victory in nine previous league matches since the end of the last campaign in May.

Sergio Francisco is likely to keep faith with the same XI that edged past Bilbao. Injured trio Orri Óskarsson, Jon Karrikaburu and Yangel Herrera remain sidelined.
