Deportivo La Coruna turn their attention to the Copa del Rey after disappointing back-to-back defeats in the past ten days. Antonio Hidalgo's men slipped to a 3:1 defeat against Castellon before last weekend's surprise 3:0 home reversal against Real Sociedad B.

Before their recent dip in form, Deportivo had enjoyed a superb six-game winning streak, while they had lost only two of 18 previous fixtures across all competitions. 

Now seven years since they last competed in the Spanish top flight, La Coruna find themselves in contention for a return to La Liga. Hidalgo's side sit second in the division, with 32 points from 18 games played. 

The hosts have a strong squad available for Tuesday's cup contest. Sergio Escudero is the only confirmed absentee this week. Top scorer Zakaria Eddahchouri is expected to earn a recall to the first XI after a substitute appearance against Real Socidead B last weekend.

Mallorca returns to Copa del Rey action after successfully extending their unbeaten run to four matches with a 3:1 win against Elche on Saturday. Late goals from Vedat Muriqi and Omar Mascarell sealed a vital victory for Jagoba Arrasate's men. 

While in decent form, Mallorca remain defensively vulnerable, while they have struggled to find their best form in away games this season. Los Bermellones conceded at least two goals in three of their last five games, while they have managed just three clean sheets in 11 fixtures since the start of October.

As mentioned, Arrasate's side have been poor on their travels. Mallorca lost six and won just one of eight away La Liga fixtures this season. They did secure their place in Tuesday's cup clash with a 3:2 win at Numancia last month.

The La Liga side come into this fixture with a fully fit squad available. Samu Costa is available after completing his suspension.
