WC Qualification Europe
This will mark the fourth encounter between the two national teams. Their first meetings date back to the 1998 EURO qualifiers, where the Danes proved more successful by earning a 0-0 draw away from home and sealing a 1-0 victory on their own turf. However, their first clash in the 21st century turned out to be a completely one-sided affair, as the De Rod-Hvide demolished the White Wings 6-0.
Denmark team overview
Denmark find themselves within touching distance of securing a third consecutive World Cup finals appearance, but it remains to be seen whether they can book their ticket directly or will be forced to take the tougher route through the playoffs.
Overall, Brian Riemer’s men remain in control at the top of their qualifying section, though only thanks to a superior goal difference over Scotland, who are breathing down their necks and will provide the decisive opposition on the final matchday.
Since being dismantled 5-2 by Portugal in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals, the Danish Dynamite have produced a superb response, going six matches unbeaten and winning five of them — with four of those victories coming in dominant fashion by margins of three goals or more.
As they head into the final two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, Denmark will have to cope without Wolfsburg defender Joakim Maehle, who recently picked up a shoulder injury, while Kasper Dolberg has recovered from his issue but was not called up to the national squad as he is still regaining full fitness.

Belarus team overview
When it comes to the Belarus national team, they find themselves in a prolonged downward spiral in recent years and, perhaps more worryingly, there are no signs of progress on the horizon, with their World Cup qualifying campaign threatening to become one of the worst in their history.
Despite the year starting on a positive note with impressive displays that briefly reignited belief in brighter days ahead — outclassing Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan with a combined scoreline of 11-1 — the White Wings have since been nothing short of disastrous in every subsequent outing.
Indeed, Belarus have ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline in each of their last five matches, including all four defeats in this World Cup qualifying cycle, during which their defensive line has completely fallen apart, conceding an alarming 15 goals. As things stand, they appear destined to complete first WCQ campaign without a single point to their name.
On a slightly brighter note, head coach Carlos Alos has no injury concerns to deal with, but he has opted to inject fresh energy into the squad by calling up several debutants who will be eager to justify their first-ever international selections.

Prediction
There’s little doubt over whether Denmark will claim victory here — the only real question is by what margin. We firmly believe that Hojlund and company will deliver another ruthless display against a helpless Belarus side, much like in the reverse fixture. The arrival of Brian Riemer has transformed his national team into a lethal attacking force, with three or more goals scored in four of their last five outings, and with goal difference potentially playing a decisive role at the top of the group, the Danish Dynamite are widely expected to dismantle Belarus once again.
Four Reasons we expect AH1 -2
- Denmark have scored 3 or more goals in four of their last five matches in all competitions.
- Belarus have lost five games in a row, including all four in the WCQs.
- Belarus have conceded 4 or more goals in three of their last five matches.
- The first meeting between these two sides in this qualifying campaign ended with a loud 6-0 victory for Denmark.
