Colombia are on the verge of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, judging by the current standings. However, having failed to win any of their last four qualifying matches, the Cafeteros will have to watch out for Venezuela, who are just five points behind them ahead of matchday 15.

Despite their disastrous performances in the most recent World Cup qualifiers, the Colombians were at least able to end their three–game losing streak with a 2-2 draw against Paraguay in the last round.

Conversely, Peru have lost almost any hope of reaching the play-offs with a 1-0 defeat against direct rivals Venezuela. The Peruvians have only won one of their last five qualifying matches and are now fighting with Chile not to finish last.

Colombia - Peru Betting Tips: Colombia to Win

Although Colombia’s recent performances in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers have been poor, losing three of their last four games, the Cafeteros are one of the best teams when they play at home. They have picked up 14 points out of a possible 21 so far, losing just once and scoring 13 goals in the process. Peru, on the other hand, are winless away from home in seven games (1D 6L) and have yet to score a goal on away soil. Our tip is for a win for Colombia.

Three reasons we expect Colombia to Win

  1. Peru have failed to win any of their seven away matches so far, losing six and drawing one. They have also failed to score a single goal on the road
  2. Colombia have lost just once in the seven home matches
  3. Peru are one of the two worst teams in the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualification 2026. Colombia should have enough attacking talent to break down their defence
